Micron Buy Signal - Record Quarter, Stock Shrugged

Micron just reported a record quarter. Revenue was $54.23 billion, against about $51 billion expected and $11.32 billion a year ago. The stock shrugged. The number that matters is the next one. Micron guided this quarter to $61.5 billion, against a Street number near $57 billion, with gross margin still around 86%. Sanjay Mehrotra said a large part of 2027 HBM is already sold, at prices much higher than 2026, and that supply gets tighter in 2027 and 2028. This is a buy. Not because a beat has to be rewarded. Because the guide is already bigger, and the 2027 book is already sold. The risk is the memory cycle. An 87% margin does not last if supply catches up.
