Layer 2 networks — rollups, scaling, and Ethereum settlement
Layer 2 (L2) networks settle on Ethereum but execute transactions off-chain, dramatically reducing fees and increasing throughput. Our Layer 2 coverage tracks Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon zkEVM, zkSync, Starknet, Linea, Scroll, and other rollups — covering total value locked, daily transactions and active addresses, sequencer decentralization roadmaps, fault and validity proofs, gas-fee dynamics post-Dencun and EIP-4844 blob pricing, and the airdrops and incentive programs that drive user migration. Coverage also includes data-availability layers (Celestia, EigenDA, Avail) and the broader modular-blockchain stack.
