BORG is the token of SwissBorg, a Swiss-based crypto wealth management application aimed at retail users. The project began during the 2017 token sale period and has since built a consumer app that combines fiat on and off ramps, exchange aggregation, yield products, and thematic crypto bundles.

How SwissBorg works

The SwissBorg app aggregates liquidity from multiple centralized and decentralized venues through what it calls its Meta Exchange, routing orders to obtain better pricing than a single venue would provide. Alongside trading, it offers yield accounts, curated baskets of assets, and access to early-stage investment opportunities through its launchpad. The company operates under Swiss regulatory arrangements and reports over a million registered users.

BORG, previously known as CHSB, is the platform's token. It has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens with roughly 981 million in circulation, and it is issued on Ethereum and Solana. Historically the token has been tied to premium membership tiers within the app, giving holders improved yield rates and reduced fees, and the company has conducted buybacks and burns funded by platform revenue.

Role in the ecosystem

SwissBorg sits in the centralized finance category, offering a managed consumer experience rather than direct protocol interaction. Its distinguishing characteristics are its European regulatory footprint and its focus on retail accessibility. For the token, the relevant considerations are the same as for other platform tokens: the benefits are set by the operator, the value is tied to platform usage, and the token does not represent equity in the business.
