The Binance Hack Broke Bitcoin’s October Low.

Hackers took about $6.3 billion from Binance, and Bitcoin traded through its October low. Binance said customer losses would be covered and turned withdrawals off. Tracing firms attribute the attack to North Korea. That attribution is not a court finding. • About half of the haul was frozen, almost all of it stablecoins. Elliptic counted 18,270 bitcoin, roughly $1.4 billion, that no issuer can freeze.
